Speech on China (ASEAN) Business Forum & Commodity trading and two-way investment Fairs

Distinguished guests, friends, ladies and gentlemen,
On the occasion of the establishment of China—ASEAN free trade zone, we hold the distinguished meeting with great joy. It is a pleasure to welcome more than 200 delegates and elites here with us from China and Thailand. On behalf of Thailand government and hospitable people of our country, I would like to extend a warm welcome to every distinguished guests, especially those people from China. The fair is organized by Thai International business association, and Beijing Taihai Culture Development Center, Gongjing Lianhe International Exchange Center, all level of chamber of commerce and Fa Thor Sang Travel company makes a great contribution to the fair. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to all of them.
In recent years, with the rapid development of China economics, the widely ASEAN market shows it advantageous in Thailand. Thailand is a important region for Chain to carry out “going out “ strategy. Thailand, with robust economy, which has been and important channel for so many enterprises enter to ASEAN market as the establishment of China—ASEAN free trade zone, it also become a first-choice for China entrepreneurs. Capital (Bangkok) is the second commercial city after Tokyo in Asia, it has the 4-star and 5-star hotels at most in the world. Meanwhile, Bangkok is also the most important transportation hub of aviation, landway, railway and waterway, which provide the most convenience for investors from all the countries.
China and Thailand live in a good friendship for a long time. With close distance from China to Thailand, there are not only great advantages of mutual investments, but a great number of Chinese as well, which create a unique opportunity for China enterprises enter into local market. Currently, China and Thailand have expanse of two-way investment, which refer to further development of related field and region. China enterprises come to Thailand for investment, just like a child back to his home. With similar cultural, blood kinship between China and Thailand, there is without any racial discrimination in Thailand. People of Thailand loves peace and keep good friendly with Chinese people, there are so many entrepreneurs and politicians descended from Chinese ancestors. Besides, the two economies are strongly complimentary to each other and hence enjoy huge potential for cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology areas. According to Thailand government plan, it is predicted that there is with trade volume of 50 billion between China and Thailand by the year 2010, Thailand is an important country for China enterprises to carry out “going out” policy. At present, both countries have broad space in agriculture, Petrochemical, light industry, textile industry, mining industry, logistics and tourism, Thailand has became one of the most important market for overseas project –contracting and overseas investment country for China. China and Thailand is devoted to promote full range cooperation level, and there is a bright future for both countries. Thailand has carry out free trade policy and encouraged foreign directly investment for a long time, and released series of attraction preferential policies for investment promotion, and offered all kinds of investment services for foreign investors.
I firmly believe that the relation between China and Thailand will have a bright future under the joint effort between government and people of two countries.
Finally, I sincerely would like to invite all distinguished guests come to Thailand regularly, and I also look forward to visit China frequently.

值此中国东盟自由贸易区建成之机，我们以非常期待的心情，迎来了中泰两国的经贸盛会。来自中、泰两国的企业精英、商会代表二百余人，济济一堂，我谨代表泰国政府及热情友好的泰国人民，向出席本次会议的嘉宾，尤其是远道而来的中国嘉宾表示热烈的欢迎！本次会议由泰国国际贸易商会主办，中国的北京台海文化发展中心、工经联合国际交流中心、中国各级商会及亚太集团公司为会议筹备、组织及会务服务做了大量卓有成效的工作，在此表示衷心的感谢！
近年来，随着中国经济的快速发展，东盟的广阔市场也愈发凸现其重要意义。泰国是中国实施“走出去”战略的重点地区，随着中国-东盟自由贸易区的建成，经济充满活力的泰国已成为全球许多企业进入东盟市场的重要通道，也成为中国企业家的首选之地。首都曼谷是亚洲仅次于东京的第二大商业城市，其拥有的四、五星级饭店数量居世界之冠；曼谷也是东南亚地区航空、公路、铁路、水路最重要的交通枢纽之一，为各国投资者提供极大便利。
“中泰一家亲”。 中泰两国地理临近，不仅拥有相互投资的地缘优势，而且其庞大的华人网络，也为中国企业尽快融入当地市场提供了独特的有利条件。目前，中泰双向投资规模不断扩大，涉及的领域和区域也正在进一步拓展。中国企业来泰国投资，就像回到家一样。泰国与中国文化相似，有血缘关系，没有种族歧视，中国人和泰国人长的也很相似。泰国人民爱和平，和中国人民很友好，在泰国的很多财团、企业家、政治家都是华人后裔，华人血液己深深融入泰国政治、经济、文化的方方面面。而且中泰两国的贸易具有很大的互补性，彼此之间不存在贸易冲突和竞争，从而成为两国经贸合作快速发展的有利因素。按照泰国政府的计划，到2010年，中泰两国贸易额预计将突破500亿美元所以泰国是个值得中国企业“走出去”发展的国家。目前，中泰在农业、石油化工、轻工业、纺织工业、采矿业，以及物流、旅游等许多领域均有很大的合作空间，泰国已是中国重要的海外承包工程市场之一。中国对泰国的投资总额在东盟成员国中名列榜首，泰国已成为中国的重要对外投资国。中泰两国目前正致力于提升全方位合作水平，未来合作前景十分广阔。泰国一直实行自由贸易政策，鼓励外国直接投资，并推出了一系列颇有力度的投资促进措施及优惠政策，在税赋及投资服务方面提供帮助，以进一步吸引外国投资者。
我坚信，在两国政府和人民的努力下，中泰关系必将迎来更加美好的未来！
